Vanessa Hudgens will be heading from Montreal to Vancouver very soon to start filming on her next movie, Sucker Punch.

Sucker Punch director Zack Snyder recently dished to MTV that he was surprised by her audition. He shared, “She rehearsed, she did the audition for the scene. I wasn’t sure at first – [the casting people] were like ‘Oh, Vanessa’s coming’ and I was ‘Oh, okay – that sounds cool’ but I didn’t know what to think. Then I saw the tape and I literally went, ‘Wow, she’s good. She’s really good.’ Then I talked to her about what she’d have to do.”

He continued, “You’re going to see her shooting machine guns, fighting…we sat her down for her physical evaluation, and she was really athletic. It’ll allow her to stretch herself and do whatever she wants, and not be too exposed by the movie – but also, on the other hand, do things that people have never seen her do.”

Sucker Punch, also starring Emily Browning and Abbie Cornish, is set to hit theaters in 2010.

Vanessa has said she is looking foward to see the new HSM4. HSM4 will begin filming late 2009/2010. The cast is still getting picked and auditions are taking place. Vanessa said" I wish everyone the best. I hope they all have a good time and enjoy it more as much as i did".

Vanessa Hudgens Pursuing Changes in Career

Like her High School Musical co-star Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens is getting out of the business of making musicals. Right now, she wants to focus on acting. She told MTV, “I love musicals, I really do. I grew up doing them, so it’ll always have a place in my heart. Vanessa is currently filming her first role that is not in a musical in the film Beastly, a retelling of the classic Beauty and the Beast story that is set to open in 2010. Like Efron, Hudgens would like to distance herself from musicals to avoid being typecast and limiting her career.

Sucker Punch is the story of a girl whose abusive stepfather institutionalizes her. To survive, she retreats into a fantasy world, where she eventually comes up with a plan of escape.

Michael Jackson Fans, SOTM/FOTM, Site Issues

Hey everyone! I know it's been a few days since I've updated, and I've got something important to say. I am tired of seeing hateful, critical comments in the box. Vanessa updates are slow, we aren't posting any news.

#1: That is not true. Anouk, Helen, and I have been posting every news that we have found. There just isn't a lot right now.
#2: Stop commenting hatefully. If there are other sites that are updating more than us, then go visit them. Miss Vanessa is not them, we are our own site. So instead of wasting your time hating on us, visit the others who are apparently "better".

I truly appreciate every single comment, every single bit of love from everyone, and I love owning this site -possibly the largest for Vanessa on the web- but I'm not going to tolerate hate like this. Don't visit the site if there other better sites. That's kind of obvious.

Also, I know Vanessa was a fan, so I'm giving my condolences to Michael Jackson's family, and anyone who was a fan of him. Condoling comments are welcome on this post. :)

The SOTM is Radio Disney Club. A website and youtube channel dedicated to Radio Disney. It's updated almost daily, and there's a tonnn of Radio Disney stuff for fans. Obviously!
